Our
Mission
I.R.D.I.
gTaste of California ©h is a market development campaign to
bring Californiafs boutique wineries into stable, hard currency
international markets that they can depend on both in short and
long time terms, this is all approached at a Micro level of customer
interaction and sales.
As the costs of operation continue
to soar in California many Boutique wineries (Estates with production
levels of 15,000 cases or less) are finding it more then a challenge
to generate sales.
Numerous factors are contributing
to this situation a few being the sky rocketing Real Estate costs
which is direct overhead operation costs for wineries which means
that with their low volume of production their price margins must
be raised pricing them out of the market. Second, is that most distributors
are overly saturated with hundreds of other wines; this is not factoring
the rapist advancement of foreign wines in the U.S. market.
And despite the recent victory with the changing of federal laws
allowing wineries to sell wines across state boarders however again
the cost margins are so high that California wineries have outstripped
the cost of living margins for the other states. Long story short
many of our California wineries now frozen in the position of being
bulk producers for the established labels just to break even.
By focusing on International markets
California wineries can solve these issues not just for short term
but for long term stability and growth. Unfortunately most wineries
are to busy trying to stay afloat in domestic markets or are unfamiliar
with how to go about getting their wines into International markets
to establish such a link.
Until now if a winery did want to
go into international markets they were given a number to call of
a contact in some country and was put on a list with thousands of
wineries world wide because that one contact is also the appointed
contact for all the other world wines interested in going to that
region.
But what makes I.R.D.I. services
unique is that we operate at a micro level of market development.
For example establishing a website interface to sell directly to
domestic customers, as well sales team support actively pushing
and circulating our wines through out the entire region.
Our platform is geared to move over
230,000 cases of California wine for the region of Japan alone over
the next two years. Governor Schwarzenegger has put forth a considerable
amount of effort to support the awareness California wines. This
is the next step that we as a state must take together to stand
together and work collectively.
