- Identify business risks

  Network Administrator Engineer

  Nortel BPS2000, Passport 8600, VLANs, Microsoft systems and networking
  The Application Hosting Group at our client has a short term need for a Network Administrator to work on various tasks including:
  1.Design, gain approval, and implement additional VLANs
a. Prepare design
b. Allocate IP addresses
c. Configure LAN switch (Nortel BPS2000) for “WEB” and “SQL” VLANs
d. Set-up and configure Active Directory VLAN
e. Assist System Admin to move hosts (except for external DNS server) to their appropriate internal VLANs
f. Ensure any hosts configured to communicate with systems in network are updated to talk to hosts in their new VLANs
g. Ensure Firewall policy is established to not break such existing communication
  2.On-going, day-to-day support activities including:
a. Review Software updates for BPS2000 and F5 for critical vulnerabilities as appropriate
b. Periodically review the health/status of the BPS2000 stack and BIG F5 load balancer
c. Keep network documentation current
d. Review software updates for Passport 8600 for critical vulnerabilities as appropriate
e. Keep software revision on Passport 8600 in sync with production

  Systems Security Analyst

  Job duties will include the daily evaluation and monitoring of various raw and processed information and network security reports. Data reduction and trending analysis, of information security reports, will also be required. Provide senior IT and Information Security Management with analysis summaries on a daily basis. Will be required to work with system and network administration personnel as well as with Program Security personnel. Strong written and oral skills required to represent issues and to interface with special programs in a classified facility.
Ability to configure, maintain and expand specific information security management tools and detection systems, for maximum performance without impact to the systems being monitored.
